Sin embargo, el xylitol es muy t\u00f3xico para los perros, cuando los perros ingieren xilitol su cuerpo piensa que es glucosa y empiezan a producir grandes cantidades de insulina.<\/p>\n<p>Las grandes cantidades de insulina acaban con la glucosa sangu\u00ednea y pueden llevar una hipoglucemia (az\u00facar baja en la sangre) que genere un cuadro fatal.
